Who's Ready For Some Therapy!

Mara LaFay of Vintage Retail Therapy by Mara is excited to host round two of the Layers and Textures Workshop.  Joining Mara are her friends Jayne Belk of Funkiture Gifts & DIY Studio in Hiawassee, Georgia and Lynne Brundage of Ellen J Goods in Medina, New York.

Talk about Shenanigans! Three creative minds all in one place.  Jayne, Lynne and Mara are creative in business, passionate about teaching and willing to go the extra mile to share their years of knowledge and experience in a fun, loving and safe environment.  We are so excited to meet you and lead you through this process

Itinerary for Workshop:

  • "Meet & Greet" from 1:00 - 3:00 on February 25th with Jayne, Lynne and Mara – stop by and meet your instructors. We are planning a fun demo with a few surprises up our sleeves.  This will also give you the opportunity to meet your fellow artists as well as do a bit of shopping. Everyone is invited to the "Meet and Greet". You do not have to be a ticket holder to participate.

  • Location: 318 West Fig Street, Fallbrook, California.  This is one of Fallbrook's oldest buildings dating back to 1888.  The workshop is in one of the recreational rooms adjacent to the old church.

  • VIP ticket holders will join us for a night of dining under the stars gathered around a fireplace starting at 5:00 - 8:00 on February 25th.  This will be an informal gathering allowing to network, share things we love, why we create and get to know each other.

  • Layers and Textures Workshop Saturday, February 26, 2022

    • 9:00 - 9:15 Continental Breakfast consisting of coffee, juice, fruit and muffins

    • 9:30 - 12:30 Session I  Jayne, Lynne and Mara and will coach you through their layers and textures creative journey experience using various mediums and creative tools. You’ll experience a guided journey to find your personal creative style while we explore our artistic side and grow our comfort zone as we gently push through our limiting beliefs and creative blocks. You will try new things, share ideas and encourage one another as we create.

    • 12:30 - 1:45 Break for lunch.

    • 2:00 - 5:00 Session II  Completion of our projects.

Attendance for this workshop is limited to keep it intimate. Tickets are "first-come first-serve" and are NON-REFUNDABLE. If you are unable to attend after signing up, you can sell your ticket to someone else or we will try to help you by putting you in touch with people that have waitlisted (if there is a waitlist).

Travel and lodging is up to each person. Once you have purchased your ticket, we will add you to our private group on FB. Enjoy communicating with other attendees for possible co-lodging, carpools, etc..  In NY several ladies combined forces and rented a small house through Airbnb. You will also have the added benefit of interacting with all the Medina, NY attendees who went before you.

Travel - For those who may be flying, Fallbrook is equally spaced between San Diego International, AKA Lindberg Field and John Wayne airport in Orange county.  However, there may be more flights with better rates into San Diego.  Once landed Fallbrook is approximately and hour north of Lindberg and one hour south of John Wayne.

Fallbrook

Fallbrook is known for its artist community, farming, horses and avocado groves and claims, without any official recognition, the title "Avocado Capital of the World".  It is often called or known as "The Friendly Village".  The Avocado Festival is held in the downtown strip annually and frequently draws large crowds.  It borders the famous Temecula wine country and boasts of its own wineries.  It is 16 miles from the Pacific beaches.  The average daytime temperature is in the low 70s.  In February the mornings and evenings can be a bit chilly (by California standards, LOL).  We suggest a light to mid sweater or jacket.
